A unique National Park of Brazil, located on the Atlantic coast of the northern part of the country, in the state of Maranhão, southeast of the Bay of San Jose, between the bay and the mouth of the Fomi River. The vast flat territory of the park is covered with huge sand dunes, reaching up to 40 m in height .
