SHERATON HOTEL in China 🇨🇳
⠀
The Sheraton Huzhou Hot Spring Resort in China on Lake Taihu is one of those that are being talked about – unusual.
For its extravagant appearance, tourists call Sheraton Huzhou not only a horseshoe, but also a "Donut", "Bagel", and sometimes a "Moon Hotel". But the architect of the building, Yansong Ma, put the idea of infinity and unity into its design – reflecting in the water, especially in the glow of night lights, the hotel gives the impression of an eight, which, as you know, has no beginning or end.
⠀
In fact, this 27-storey hotel has an "end", it is hidden under the water, where there are 2 more floors. The Shanghai Feizhou Group, which was engaged in the construction of the building from 2007 to 2013, made sure that the "ring hotel" was firmly held on the surface. In reality, these are two towers, fastened together at the bottom by two levels of bases, and at the top – by a rounded arch.
