🇲🇻Ari Atoll, Maldives
One of the largest atolls in the Maldives, it covers an area of 80x30 km, as much as the atolls of North Male and South Male combined. Located to the west of the South Male Atoll, it took on the third wave of the resort construction boom in the early 1990s, following two atolls on each side of the capital that were built up two decades earlier. Now there are 30 resort islands on Ari, that is, the most in the archipelago.
