Hverfjall is not the name of an IKEA chair. A huge crater with a tooth-crushing, cheeky name Hverfjadl is one of the most interesting sights of Iceland and an amazing place even by the standards of this country. Its crater has a diameter of about 1 km. Climbing up its steep slopes offers stunning views of the Lake Mivatn area.
