🇺🇸USA, Hawaiian Islands, Maui Island, Haleakala Volcano
Haleakala is an inactive volcano, the eruption of which was last observed in 1750 (although different sources indicate differently). The perimeter of its crater is the largest in the world among inactive volcanoes and is 32 km. And, believe me, this sight is really impressive.
The main observation deck is located just at the top of the volcano – at an altitude of 3055 meters. The most ordinary asphalt road leads there, and a large parking lot is provided for cars. The only thing that is not there is no cafes and eateries, you need to bring food with you.
Actually, there are several viewing platforms, they are scattered all along the way to Haleakala. And on each of them the view is amazing!
