Preikestolen is a large cliff with an almost flat top in the form of a square with an area of about 625 m2. "Pulpit of the preacher" - this is the literal translation of the name of the rock. Here, tourists see a wonderful overview of the surrounding area, so the attraction is particularly popular and recognized as the most beautiful place in Norway.
The Preikestolen Cliff is located above the Luse Fjord, a bay with shores in the form of rocks. Similar reservoirs were formed tens of thousands of years ago due to the passage of glaciers. Nearby rocks can sometimes reach a kilometer high. The area near the Luse Fjord is almost uninhabited due to the characteristic soil, which makes it possible to see the picturesqueness of nature. The trail to Preikestolen is located at different heights, there are numerous areas of vegetation - from forests to mosses and lichens.
