China 🇨🇳, Duge Bridge

At the end of 2016, the South Chinese province of Guizhou acquired the world's tallest bridge. The reason for this was the terrain. Due to the mountainous landscape and deep gorges, local residents were previously forced to build several high bridges, but Duge became not just the largest of them, he even broke a world record and was immortalized on the pages of the Guinness Book of Records.
The province is unique in that three of the five highest bridges in the world are located here. They cross steep cliffs and gorges, allowing local residents to get from one settlement to another. On December 29, 2016, the new Duge Beipanjiang bridge was named the king of bridges, a red arrow pierced into the space of the mountains.

This concrete bridge has a cable-stayed structure; it is laid over a deep gorge, along the bottom of which the Beipan River flows. The distance from the bottom of the gorge to the bridge bed is 565 m.
