🇯🇵Japan, Kyorinbo Temple

The Kyorinbo (Shiga) Temple was built by Crown Prince Shotoku in 605 and named so because it was originally a place of study (”Kyo") surrounded by a forest ("Rin").

The Kyorinbo Temple, with its magnificent moss-covered stones laid out throughout the garden, recalls the famous Japanese artist and aristocrat Enshu Kobori and his magnificent world of wabi-sabi.

The thatched roof of the academic building located at the entrance to the temple is now recognized by the city as an important cultural value and is another highlight of the Kyorinbo Temple.
