The Moselle River Valley is considered the most beautiful and most romantic region in Germany.
In the heart of the Moselle Valley is one of the most romantic cities – Cochem. Its history is inextricably linked with the Imperial Castle Reichsburg (Reichsburg). 

Cochem is located on the picturesque left bank of the 20-kilometer long Moselle River. The panoramic view of the northern part of the Moselle Valley clearly shows the important strategic position of the Castle and how majestically it towers over the city. The river dug a channel deep into the rock of the mountains, thus creating lands on the steep slopes of the river, where grapes have been grown since the Middle Ages.
