🇫🇷France, Pierrefonds Castle
Pierrefonds (Chateau de Pierrefonds— is an ancient battle castle of the XV century, an important cultural and historical landmark of France. The chateau is located on the southeastern edge of the Compiegne forest, near the town of Ville-Cottreux. The large-scale history of the building covers not only the period from the XIII - XV centuries, but also earlier French periods, starting from the XII century. The castle of Pierrefonds has been depicted in many feature films, for example, "The Eagle with Two Heads", "The Man in the Iron Mask" and "Merlin".
The Hall of Beautiful Ladies and the Hall of Arms are the most impressive. It is there that large-scale figures of knights and women in the images of ancient goddesses are located. Expositions and light performances are installed in some halls of the Pierrefonds Castle.
