A gas crater. Locals and travelers call it "The Door to the underworld", or "The Gates of Hell". It is located 90 km from the village of Yerbent in the Dashoguz Velayat. The diameter of the crater is approximately 60 meters, the depth is about 20 meters. Since 1971, the natural gas coming out of the crater has been continuously burning day and night, it was set on fire so that gases harmful to people and livestock would not come out.
