Budapest is the only capital in the world awarded the title of "resort city". All thanks to the thermal springs located here. 
Especially popular among tourists is the Secheni bathhouse near Varoshliget Park. It was built in 1913 and is a health and wellness complex, including swimming pools, baths and steam rooms - so large that there is no other such not only in the Hungarian capital, but throughout Europe.

From the outside, the Baroque building of the bathhouse looks much more like a palace, rather than a balneological complex.

Inside there are pools with therapeutic water of different temperatures. Water is supplied from a hot spring opened in 1879 from a depth of 1246 meters and comes to the surface at a temperature of +74 °C.
