🇨🇳China, Zhangjiajie, Tianmen Mountain, Heavenly Gate
(Winter❄️)
In the distant Chinese province of Hunan, on the territory of Tianmen Park, the mountain of the same name rises, and this mountain is decorated with a natural wonder known as the Heavenly Gate. It is also sometimes called the Paradise Gate or the gate to heaven.
It is known that in 263 AD, during an earthquake, a huge part of the sheer cliff fell off, forming what we see in the photo.
Zhangjiajie Airport is 7 km away. The height of the Tianmen Mountain itself is 1519m, the height of the arch is as much as 131.5 m, the length is 60m, and the width is about 57m!
Since ancient times, the Chinese have attached mystical significance to this area. The whole mountain leaves an indelible impression on itself, on the way to the arch you are accompanied by a feeling of peace and tranquility. The fog that envelops the heavenly gates and the haze around are fascinating.
