🇫🇷France, La Roque-Gageac
La Roque-Gajac is a picturesque French town with a population of just over 400 inhabitants. The town itself consists of one long street, which is located along the cliff on one side, and on the other along the Dordogne River. Despite its small size, the town successfully ranks among the most beautiful villages in France. And this is not surprising, because in addition to the beautiful landscape, La Roque Gajac is famous for rare plant species that are characteristic of tropical and Mediterranean climates. The flora, unusual for the Aquitaine region, turned out thanks to the rocks that do not let the cold wind pass, and the climate itself resembles a tropical one by all signs.
La Roque-Gajac is a member of the Association of the most beautiful villages in France (Les Plus Beaux Villages de France). Among the main attractions are the castle, the Tarde mansion, a chapel with a tropical garden, and troglodyte caves.
