Australia 🇦🇺, Monkey Mia Beach 🐬

Manki Mia is a seaside resort with a charming beach. But this is not an ordinary beach that we are all used to. People are in no hurry to swim here, or sunbathe on the sand. Tourists are standing on the shore and waiting for special guests from the ocean. A distinctive feature of this beach is that almost every day 5-10 female dolphins swim to the shore with their babies, and frolic near the shore without fear of observers at all.

The tradition of feeding dolphins on the shore began in 1964. The wife of a local fisherman saw a dolphin swimming nearby and gave him a fish. He liked it and the next day the dolphin returned for a new portion. Over time, Charlie, that's what the locals called this dolphin, began to bring his friends to the beach. It all became a habit — Charlie and his friends increasingly came to the shallow water for feeding.

 This area has received the status of a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
