🏟️Italy 🇮🇹, The City of Venice
🔶Venice is a historic city in northern Italy, famous for its canals, gondolas, palazzi, ancient temples and museums. This is the only city of its kind where there are no cars — their role is performed by water transport, and one of the few whose lines are endlessly copied. Venice is more than 1500 years old, and all these centuries it has been shining in the sky of world events.
🔶Since the Middle Ages, Venice has been called the "Queen of the Adriatic". Thanks to wise management, the island town managed to become so influential that it gained independence, many privileges and the honorary title of the Most Serene Republic. The wealth and status of the Venetian nobles can still be appreciated today by visiting one of the palaces-the palazzo.
🔶Venice is not just a city on the water, but a whole commune divided into 6 self—governing districts. The commune includes 118 islands and more than 150 channels.
