🔶The Cherry Tunnel is an amazing few days that Japanese cherries give in the spring, in the cozy town of Bonn.
🔶The most ordinary streets turn into a charming pink tunnel for two weeks, which gives residents and tourists wonderful landscapes during the day and even at night when the lights turn on.
🔶In the 1980s, in order to improve the quality of life and ecology of the center, it was decided to begin its complete reconstruction. Initially, they wanted to plant hawthorn here, but the regional plant nurseries could not deliver it.
🔶Then in 1984, it was decided to plant a large number of Japanese cherry trees along the roadsides of Herstrasse and Breitstrasse streets, which run parallel to each other, in order to improve the air quality in the city center.
