Albania 🇦🇱, Reservoir (lake) Bovilla

🔶The Bovilla Reservoir is a 4.6 square kilometer reservoir in Albania, about 14 km northeast of Tirana and southeast of Kruja, in Mount Dite National Park. It provides most of the drinking water for Tirana.

🔶The water level in the lake fluctuates throughout the year by 7-10 meters, the maximum water falls during the rainy winter months. The maximum depth of the reservoir is 45 meters.

🔶The rocks around the lake are used by athletes for rock climbing. Swimming in the reservoir is prohibited.

🔶Bovilla is similar to a Norwegian fjord, but the host of a typical Mediterranean flora. This is the perfect place to escape the crowds of Tirana and spend the day surrounded by nature, admiring the stunning panoramas.
