Russia 🇷🇺, Saltinsky waterfall

🔶Saltinsky is the only underground waterfall in Dagestan. The amazing object bears the proud name of a monument of nature of republican significance. It is located on the outskirts of the village of Salta in the Gunib district.

🔶The waterfall is formed by the Stalinka River. It flows down from the mountains, passes the Kudalinsky Canyon and, almost reaching the village of Salt, "falls" into the canyon. A narrow and winding gorge leads to the waterfall — the Salta gorge, whose length is only 500 m. The route is simple, but requires care and caution.

🔶After 400 m from the start of the route, you will get to the narrowest part of the gorge. Here the walls close together, and there is 2-3 m left for passage.
The closer you get to the goal, the wider the canyon becomes. Gradually, it turns into an elongated huge cave with rounded "walls" and winding turns.
