🏰Russia 🇷🇺, Chateau Erken Castle

🔶Chateau Erken is one of the most popular attractions in Kabardino-Balkaria and the castle is located 25 km from Nalchik. The majestic structure is made in the Romanesque style. It is surrounded by more than 1000 hectares of vineyards.

🔶The castle is located on an island in the middle of an artificial pond, a stone bridge runs to the island. The lake is home to many exotic species of fish, and ducks and swans swim on the water, which you can feed. There is a garden and park complex with many birds around Chateau Erken. You can get to the castle only by the bridge, which is decorated with two black panthers. From the bridge, you can view the design of all the towers of the castle, on which there are viewing platforms. The towers offer an amazing view of the vineyards. 

🔶There are guided tours, during which you can visit a modern winery, which is located nearby, walk through the halls of the castle, taste local wine and visit the underground cellars.
