Switzerland 🇨🇭, Lake Blausee

The small Swiss Lake Blausee is one of the most romantic and picturesque places in this Alpine country. Locals call it the bluest of all the blue lakes in Switzerland. The secret of the amazingly piercing emerald-blue color is the underground springs that feed the lake with crystal water all year round.

The lake is located in the center of the natural park of the same name, which covers an area of 20 hectares in the central part of Switzerland. The area of the lake itself is 0.65 hectares .

The best time to visit is the golden autumn period, when the surrounding foliage contrasts so spectacularly with the blue water in the lake. In winter, Lake Blau does not offer much entertainment — the trails are covered with snow, there is no opportunity to go boating. But on the other hand, framed by the surrounding snow-covered forest and with illuminated houses on the shore, it looks like an illustration for a Christmas fairy tale.
