⛰️Russia🇷🇺, Karachay-Cherkessia, Bermamyt Plateau
🔶The Bermamyt Plateau is a surprisingly little-known natural wonder in Karachay-Cherkessia. Surprisingly, because in terms of the power of the impression left, it is quite capable of being compared with the Grand Canyon in the USA. It is not so easy to get to the plateau, which creates an additional aura of inaccessibility and mystery around this place.
🔶In fact, Bermamyt is a part of a Rocky ridge near the headwaters of two rivers: the Kuma and the Malka. The main part of the plateau (the so-called Big Bermamyt) is located at an altitude of 2591 meters above sea level. A modest rocky ledge nearby is the Small Bermamyt (its height is 2643 meters).
There is a geodetic measurement point on the top of the mountain.
🔶One of the key reasons for which it is worth making the difficult way here is the incredible view of Elbrus, which, according to numerous reviews of seasoned travelers, is nowhere else.
