🔶There is an island in the Bahamas, its official name is Big Major Cay, where the main population consists of feral piglets. It is known to tourists as Pig Beach.

🔶These pigs are different from the ones we are used to, as they have literally become waterfowl. The conditions in the Bahamas are, of course, heavenly: tropical forests, lakes, sandy beaches, many sources of fresh water. By the way, the island is uninhabited, there are no hotels for tourists.

🔶According to one version, the pigs were once left here by the sailors of one of the ships to pick them up and eat them on the way back, but that ship never returned to the island. According to another, the pigs survived the shipwreck, and the strongest of them managed to swim to the island. Some believe that the pigs were brought to the island specifically to lure tourists here.

🔶The island is a tourist attraction: many people come to it to see and feed the pigs.
