🏰Germany 🇩🇪, Neuschwanstein Castle
🔶Neuschwanstein Castle is a romantic castle of King Ludwig II, in the town of Hohenschwangau, near the town of Fussen, in Bavaria, in southern Germany. Today it is one of the most popular attractions in Germany.
🔶About 1.5 million people visit annually the "Fortress of the Fairy King", as Neuschwanstein is often called, towering with its numerous towers on an impregnable rock.
🔶Neuschwanstein Castle is located in a wonderful location with panoramic views of the Alps, the valley and two lakes — Alpine (Alpensee) and Swan Lake (Schwansee).
🔶The amazing beauty of the nature of these places inevitably sets up a romantic mood. Perhaps that is why the events of Richard Wagner's opera "Lohengrin" and the famous ballet "Swan Lake" by Tchaikovsky unfolded here.
