🔶The Royal Gorge Bridge in Colorado is the tallest suspension bridge in the United States. Its length is 384 meters and its width is 5 meters. Impressive in its appearance is not only the bridge itself, but also its towers located on the edges of the cliff. Their height is 46 meters. 

🔶The two main support cables weigh 20 tons each and are a plexus of 2,100 individual cables. It took 1,292 wooden beams to build the spans. At the bottom, at a distance of 300 meters, there is an intermountain river. When walking, the bridge sways noticeably, because it does not have any supports in its middle.

🔶Until 2011, Royal Gorge was considered the highest bridge in the world. It was built in 1929 for only $350,000. The bridge stretches for as much as 384 meters across the majestic Royal Gorge Canyon of Colorado. At the bottom, 291 meters under the bridge, the Arkansas River flows, periodically carrying away brave rafting lovers downstream.
