Peru 🇵🇪, Colca Canyon

🔶The fame of Colca Canyon is booming both in South America and around the world, suffice it to say that it was even nominated for the contest of the New Seven Wonders of Nature, but did not reach the final. The depth of the Stake surpasses even the American Grand Canyon, and almost twice, its depth ranges from 1000 to 3400 meters.

🔶Colca Canyon appeared as a result of seismic activity of nearby volcanoes — Sabankaya and Ualka-Ualka. Interestingly, the walls of Colca Canyon are not positioned as vertically downwards as those of the Grand Canyon.

🔶The most spectacular part of the canyon is, of course, the Mirador Cruz del Condor observation deck, where you can admire the flights of condors.

 🔶From the observation deck of the Cruz del Condor, an unforgettable view of the canyon opens, at the bottom of which, at a depth of 1200 meters, the Colca River flows, and on the opposite side, Misty Mountain rises above the cliff.
