Croatia 🇭🇷, "The Eye of the Earth"

🔶Lake Glavaševo is a small reservoir of karst origin 7 kilometers from the town of Vrlik. It is located near the village of Cetina, in the Sibenik-Knin district in southern Croatia. The lake has an unusual appearance, which is why it is often called the "Eye or Eye of the Earth". Like other karst reservoirs, Glavaševo is filled with very clear water, through which a deep cave is clearly visible. There is no sand on the bottom, only soft calcareous deposits that give the water an azure hue.

🔶Since 1971, the "Eye of the Earth" has been included in the list of national natural monuments of Croatia and is under state protection.

🔶Many sources indicate that the depth of Lake Glavaševo asevo is about 150 meters, but this is not entirely true. The speleologists of the Croatian Institute of Nature were unable to determine the exact depth, but they managed to explore the bottom up to 155 meters.
