China 🇨🇳, Tongtian Road (Heavenly Highway)
🔶There are really scary roads in this world. If there was an official list of such roads, then the Street to Heaven would occupy the first place in it. It rises from a height of 200 m to 1300 m above sea level.
🔶It is not surprising that the construction of the road, which began to be built in 1998, took eight years. Its steep turns are definitely not for the faint of heart. The road goes up the Tianmen Mountain.
🔶In China, this road is better known as the 99 Turns road, a mountain serpentine leading to the Heavenly Gates. The name of the road was given to 99 steep bends-turns of the highway on the way to this famous natural phenomenon.
🔶The road was built to help tourists get from the foot of the mountain to its top and the Tianmen Cave.
