Venezuela 🇻🇪, Margarita Island, Pampatar Salt Marsh
The Pampatar Salt Marsh is one of the most impressive landscapes on Margarita Island in Venezuela thanks to the various shades of flowers that appear here during sunrise and sunset.
The name Pampatar comes from the salt plain, which was discovered by the Indians and which in the Guaikeri language is pronounced as Pampatar and means Salt Village.
Today, this place is not commercial, salt is not mined here. Because for Venezuelans, this is just a gift from the sorceress of nature, a place to enjoy beautiful landscapes. The mineralization process takes place here all the time and it affects the color of the water. Here you can observe transitions from crystal clear water to a rich blue color, and then transitions from bright red to crystal white. This color appears when the salt hardens and is ready for use.
