French Polynesia 🇵🇫, Moorea Island
Moorea Island is one of the windward islands of the "Society Islands" archipelago in French Polynesia in the Pacific Ocean, located 17 km northwest of Tahiti.
Translated from Polynesian, its name means "yellow lizard". If you look from a bird's-eye view, the shape of the Moorea resembles a triangle, but for people with even more imagination, it seems that it looks like a heart. Therefore, it has become a popular venue for weddings and honeymoons. This is really a paradise for lovers.
There are cozy and quiet coves, gentle lagoons, soft beaches and turquoise waters of the Pacific Ocean. You can go scuba diving near the coast, explore the coral reefs that nature has decorated the coastal waters of Moorea or feed the sharks.
The highest point of the Moray Eel is the peak of the Town Hall Mountain, which rises 900 meters above sea level. The island occupies 133.50 km2 and is home to about 14 thousand people.
