France🇫🇷, The Marqueissac gardens

The Marquessac Garden is located in the Dordogne Valley in the middle of the small communes of La Roque-Gajac and Benac-et-Kaznac in France.

More than 20 hectares of the garden amaze guests and tourists for almost three hundred years.

6 kilometers of shady paths, many hundred-year-old box trees trimmed by gardeners, belvedere, fountains and ponds, emerald glades, a Gothic chapel, gazebos and century-old oaks.

The XVIII century castle has a terrace. On it, guests will see hundreds of well-groomed box trees and cypresses. The curves of boxwood trees repeat the rounded hills surrounding the garden.

After passing by the terrace, visitors will get to the belvedere. From here you can see a panorama of the river, whose waters run 130 meters below. The observation deck, designed by Julien de Serval, offers a view of the entire Dordogne Valley.

Julien de Serval inherited the estate in 1861 and turned it into a real work of art.
