The Heart of Chechnya Mosque is one of the largest Muslim temples in Russia and around the world. The entire area of the temple premises is 5 thousand square meters. m. The mosque can accommodate up to 10 thousand people at the same time. The Muslim temple is named after Akhmat Kadyrov, the first president of the Chechen Republic. The mosque was opened in autumn 2008.
The main temple of the city is located in the center of Grozny, at the intersection of Hussein Isaev and V. V. Putin Avenues. The Sunzha River flows nearby. The mosque was built on the territory of a picturesque park with an area of 14 hectares.
In the interior of the temple there is a decor of white marble. The interior is decorated with paintings and traditional Chechen ornaments. Patterns and texts from the Koran were made with the help of gold dusting of the highest standard. Inside the temple there are 36 chandeliers made of bronze and gold of the highest standard.
