Canada🇨🇦, Vancouver Island, Butchart Gardens
Fabulous Butchart Gardens spread out on Vancouver Island are visited by a huge number of tourists every year. Where the garden is now, there used to be a quarry from which limestone was extracted. The cultivation of flowers and the arrangement of the garden were taken up by Pim and Jenny Butcharts, Canadian industrialists. To begin with, the hollow was filled with fertile soil, thus leveling the surface for the future garden. The landscape was designed by master Isaburo Kishida. He created a harmonious landscape composition in the best Japanese traditions, adding in addition to herbs and plants, stones and water. On the same territory there is a Rose Garden, an Italian and a Mediterranean garden. Fountains and statues against the background of ancient trees and shrubs connected to each other by a network of paths and bridges. The floral rainbow of colors varies depending on the season, and the aromas of flowers are simply irresistible.
