Spain 🇪🇸, Sierra y Cañones de Guara Natural Park

The Sierra y Cañones de Guara Natural Park is the largest protected natural area in Aragon.

On 80 thousand hectares there are picturesque gorges and prehistoric caves, mysterious grottoes and waterfalls, deep canyons stunning in their beauty and uniqueness, along which numerous hiking trails are laid.

The park is significant mainly for its relief, mainly karst, with many caves, galleries and wells and gorges with canyons, where rock paintings still remain in the caves. Primitive people once lived and hunted here. They left behind dolmens and rock carvings (the heritage of humanity under UNESCO protection).

There are many abandoned medieval and early medieval villages on the territory of the Sierra. Sierra used to protect, but now it deprives the inhabitants of the benefits of civilization by its inaccessibility.
