Spain 🇪🇸, Granada, Alhambra
The Alhambra is a unique architectural and park ensemble - a monument of Islamic culture, located in the eastern part of the Spanish city of Granada.
The complex is spread out on the wide terraces of the high hill of La Sabica. Its observation decks offer stunning panoramic views. Lush vegetation surrounds the impregnable fortress walls, hiding the best masterpieces of Moorish architectural and decorative art in Western Europe, dating back to the period of its highest perfection.
Meshuar is of the greatest interest to tourists. This most ancient part of the complex served for holding court sessions and receiving notable guests.
The Meshuar includes the main hall with a patterned ceiling, columns with complex consoles and walls decorated with tiles and plaster ornaments. Nearby there is a chapel, outside there are courtyards with porticos, swimming pools and gardens.
The palace was founded in 1527, and finally completed – only in 1957.
