Russia 🇷🇺, Anapa, Utrish Nature Reserve
The state Reserve "Utrish" is located on the Abrau peninsula of Anapa, Krasnodar Krai. This natural attraction, which occupies a huge territory, is unique not only in its external beauty, but also in its plant and animal diversity.
The Utrish Nature Reserve is one of the leaders in the number of diverse species of plants and animals in Russia.
The diversity of the flora of the reserve is represented by the Mediterranean subtropics, in which many endemic and relict plants of the tertiary period grow, including: juniper-pistachio forests, high juniper, smelly juniper, pistachio, Pitsunda pine, oak, ash, linden, maple and much more.
Trees over 1000 years old grow on the territory of the reserve. About 50% of the reserve's plants are officially considered endemic (including pre-glacial plants).
