USA, Hawaii, Vailua Falls
Wailua Falls is located on one of the most ancient islands of Hawaii – Kauai, formed more than six million years ago. The waterfall got its name in honor of the river on which it is located. The water slide is represented by two main jets of 24-meter height.
According to some ancient legends, ancient warriors representing the Hawaiian tribe Ali'i, as proof of their courage and willingness to stand up for their fellow tribesmen, made jumps from the platform between two streams of the Vailua waterfall.
Vailua is one of the most beautiful waterfalls in Hawaii. Vailua radically changes its appearance depending on the amount of precipitation. The best time to visit this spectacular waterfall is early in the morning.
There is a descent to the place where the waterfall falls, which, however, is slippery, dirty and life-threatening. Some tourists pull ropes along the way, but local officials cut them off every time.
