Brazil🇧🇷, Chapada dos Veadeiros National Park

The park is located in the north-east of the state of Goias, in the high-altitude part of the forest-steppe zone "campos cerrado", its area is 65.514 hectares. Included in the UNESCO World Heritage List.

This particular type of savannah is recognized as one of the richest in biodiversity and one of the oldest ecosystems of the tropical belt at the time of its formation.

There are many waterfalls in the park, the largest of which – Rio Preto Falls - falls into the valley from a ledge of 120 meters. Several species of palm trees, rare species of orchids and pepper trees grow in the reserve. In the protected area you can see jaguar, anteater, tapir, armadillo and tropical birds.

Chapada dos Veadeiros occupies an area of 655 km2 and is located on an ancient plateau (the highest plain in Brazil), the height of which varies from 600 to 1650 m above sea level. The highest point in the park is Serra da Santana (1,691 m).
