Russia 🇷🇺, Suzdal

Suzdal is a town that seems to have descended from Russian postcards or fairy—tale illustrations. Travel guides to Suzdal call it an "open-air museum". The city has an area of only 15 sq.km. There are more than 150 architectural monuments, including more than 30 temples.

The borders of Suzdal have not changed in recent centuries. The historical center of the city was "mothballed" in the middle of the XX century. There are no high—rise buildings, factory pipes and broadband roads - only picturesque flood meadows and hills, charming buildings with stone mansions and wooden huts.

The sights of Suzdal take tourists back to the times of Russia: the white-stone Kremlin walls, the domes of churches shining with gold, the measured life of the county town.

Horse-drawn teams ride through the streets of Suzdal, and traditional holidays are celebrated with a Russian scale and folk flavor. The main architectural objects of Suzdal are protected by UNESCO.
