Kyrgyzstan🇰🇬, Grigorievskoe gorge

Grigoriev Gorge (Kyrgyz name Chon Ak-Suu) is located on the northern shore of Lake Issyk-Kul, 60 kilometers from the city of Cholpon-Ata and 110 km from the city of Balykchy. The valley descends from the Kungei Ala-Too ridge near the village of Grigoryevka.

Grigoriev Gorge is considered one of the most famous sights of Issyk-Kul. The sweet smell of pine trees, green mountain slopes, the noise of a mountain river, high-altitude lakes lure tourists vacationing on Issyk-Kul. The most beautiful Tien Shan fir trees grow in this gorge.

The mountain slopes of the Grigoriev Gorge are covered with red mountain poppy, which spreads like a carpet across the valley. The length of the valley is 35 kilometers. Stormy glacial water of crystal purity rushes along the bottom of the gorge.

Tourists can take a walk or ride a horse here, enjoying the surrounding nature; see semi-wild yaks, demonstrations of handicraft and horse riding art.
