The Sawtooth National Recreation Area is located in the valley of the Wood River. Majestic and breathtaking landscapes attract many tourists here. Here you will find rivers full of salmon and more than 300 high-altitude lakes that lie between the jagged peaks of the mountains.

The recreation area was established in 1927 and is managed by the U.S. Forest Service.
On the territory of the park you can join hiking, rafting, camping, rock climbing, kayaking, mountain biking, fishing and hunting.
Most of the trails in the central part of the park are open to mountain bike enthusiasts. The remaining roads are open to off-road vehicles.
Fishing enthusiasts will be interested to know that boats can be used on lakes, this will make fishing even more interesting.

In winter and spring, cross-country skiing, sledding and snowmobiling, snowshoeing, winter camping and ice skating become popular activities.
