Croatia 🇭🇷, Trogir city

Trogir is the epitome of Croatian comfort and hospitality. There are no noisy crowds of travelers and busy car traffic. People come to the city not only because of its historical value, but also for the tranquility, landscapes and the pleasant aroma of an olive grove.

Trogir owes its name to the Greek colonists. Landing on the Balkan coast, they first noticed the hills "dotted" with numerous herds of goats. It seemed that the area literally abounds with these animals, so the name for the new settlement did not take long to wait. The ancient toponym "Tragurion" comes from the Greek word tragos – "goat".

The most favorable time for summer holidays in Trogir is June. During the day, the mercury column rises to +26-27 °C, after sunset it drops to +17-18 °C. The water temperature reaches +22-23 °C. July and August are the least suitable for excursions, when the stifling heat reigns in Trogir (+30-32 °C). Tourists feel comfortable only in the evening. The water warms up to +25 °C.
