Chile 🇨🇱, Catedral de Marmol

In Chilean Patagonia there is a unique and very beautiful place — Catedral de Marmol - Marble Cathedral or Marble Chapel - near Puerto Rio Tranquillo. These are caves made of blue marble, the walls of which descend deep into the General Carrera Lake. Every tourist wants to get here.

The rocks are created by nature from limestone rock - marble, and three mountain formations – a Marble cathedral, a Marble chapel and a Marble cave were once completely hidden under water. The caves themselves were formed over thousands of years of exposure to waves that washed away the rock. Over time, the glacier that filled the lake melted, the water level dropped and now such a miracle is available to you and me.

Limestone rocks are dominated by white, bluish, green, pink shades, which give the extraordinary beauty of marble rocks. Thanks to all this beauty, Marble caves are visited by a large number of tourists who come to them by boats, speedboats and even kayaks.
