Georgia 🇬🇪, Old Tbilisi

Old Tbilisi is the historical core of the capital of Georgia. Its colorful neighborhoods are outlined approximately in the location where ancient Tiflis was located in the Middle Ages, founded in the V century. There are always a lot of tourists on the cobblestone old streets, because most of the sights of Tbilisi are concentrated in the Old City.

Old Tbilisi is located in the southeastern part of the city, in a mountain valley, on both banks of the Kura (the Georgian name is "Mtkvari"). The valley is framed by rocky hills, creating a picturesque urban landscape. 

The highest of the surrounding mountains is Mtatsminda. Its name translates as "Holy Mountain". The plateau on its top is located at an altitude of 727 m above sea level. A cable car line is laid here from the Old Town.
