The Ijen volcano in Indonesia is not at all like its fellows – there is no lava bubbling in its heart, but only a turquoise lake quietly stretches. However, this place in the east of Java is the most dangerous on Earth and attracts tourists like a magnet.

An active volcano constantly spews clouds of sulfur smoke, and the lake is filled with a concentrated mixture of hydrochloric and sulfuric acids.
