Turkey , Istanbul, Dolmabahce Palace

Dolmabahce Palace is Turkey's most famous palace for its luxury, with a stunning 600 m—long facade overlooking the Bosphorus. The white marble Rococo palace was built under Sultan Abdul-Majid in 1834, when the Topkapi Palace finally bored him and he wanted to change.

Dolmabahce Palace is perfectly visible from the Bosphorus. The length of the building is about 600 meters. The palace is simply huge! There are 285 rooms here. The official premises, the women's and men's half are connected under one roof. It took about 14 tons of gold to decorate the palace.

Its appearance has nothing to do with the culture of the Ottomans, it is designed in Rococo and Baroque style. The palace served as the residence of six sultans, Mustafa Kemal Ataturk lived and died here.
