Why is the Maldives such a clear and blue sea?

Firstly, it is the purity of the water, because here it really is. The advantage of the Maldives is that they are located far enough away from trade routes, and therefore the water here remains clean and not poisoned. No oil fields, no heavy trucks.

Secondly, it is white sand because of the large amount of coral crumbs in it. Coral, as you understand, is also white. The rays of the sun, falling on the white bottom, are beaten off and create additional illumination of the water from below.
