The "Heavenly Road of the Pamir Plateau" or "Ancient Panlong Road" ("Panlong" is a water dragon from Chinese mythology), this winding road passing through the Kunlun Mountains in Xinjiang is one of the most visually impressive in the world. 

When viewed from above, it looks like a giant gray dragon gliding through the Kashgar region of the Uighur Autonomous Region of China.
