India 🇮🇳
These beautiful pink and white flamingos arrive in the Indian city of Mumbai every winter in November - December and stay there until the rains begin. For many years, these migratory birds have settled all over the city.
In August 2015, the Maharashtra Revenue and Forestry Department established a flamingo reserve on the northern part of the Tain Creek (between the cities of Navi Mumbai and Mumbai).
An area of 1,690 hectares has been allocated for the reserve. Of these, 896 hectares are mangrove forests and 794 hectares are water.
For bird watching, you can visit an excursion during which tourists explore about 10 km of mangroves by boat.
