Champagne Beach in Vanuatu invariably falls into the tops of the best beaches in the world.

Champagne Beach has a crescent shape, with a crystal clear lagoon surrounded by corals. 

The beach is so called because of an interesting phenomenon: in the shallow waters of the lagoon at low tide, the water bubbles and hisses like champagne. This amazing phenomenon is the result of the emission of gas by volcanic rock formations lying at the bottom of the lagoon.
